The Essence of Respect and Tradition within Mara Palumbra

Within the Mara Palumbra esoteric system, we work during the day with both ancestral spirits and the Arcana forces of the Sefirot, which are connected to the positive masculine polarity. When we conduct ceremonies, we adhere to a traditional approach, in which wearing white clothing plays a central role. This is not merely a choice, but rather a deep expression of respect towards our ancestors and the forces of the Sefirot, the Tree of Life, which hold immense spiritual power within our Mara Palumbra tradition.

White symbolizes purification, enlightenment, and the reception of blessings from the Sefirot. This is why, during official ceremonies, white clothing, including a white bandana, is worn. However, this does not mean that rituals cannot be practiced outside of a ceremonial setting. If someone is alone and does not have white clothing available, the rituals can still be performed in regular attire. Nevertheless, during traditional ceremonies conducted with groups, we wear white out of respect and reverence for our ancestors, as these gatherings focus on healing traumas and blockages passed down through the family lineage.

This practice is not unique to Mara Palumbra. The reverence for ceremonial attire and rituals is something that exists in many cultures and traditions worldwide. Mara Palumbra is a fusion of Western Magic, Middle Eastern Mysticism, and Latin American & Afro-Caribbean spiritual traditions. We honor and preserve certain practices without giving away our power. Just as the wheel does not need to be reinvented, we do not need to deviate from ancient wisdom that has already proven to be effective.

Why Do We Work in White?

When we enter our sacred and consecrated space in ceremonial white attire, we invoke the presence of our ancestors. This is done with respect and reverence, as our ancestors have already completed their earthly journey and now watch over us as guides. We seek their permission to work together, so that we may resolve issues and receive support for personal challenges.

For everyone participating in a ceremony, personal responsibility is essential. Spiritual growth requires an active approach—receiving insights is only the beginning. It is up to the individual to apply this wisdom in their daily life.

Misunderstanding and Prejudices

What I, Don Rodolfo, would like to specifically address here is not the power or function of the Mara Palumbra ceremony, known as Mesa Cruzado, but rather the judgments and assumptions that people sometimes make.

People often condemn what they do not understand. It is easier to stay within one’s comfort zone than to truly delve into new knowledge. We have noticed that some individuals hold negative opinions about the fact that we wear white during ceremonies. To them, this may seem unusual or strange, whereas in reality, it is completely logical and universal—something that is considered the norm across countless traditions worldwide.

 To draw a comparison:

When people go to the beach in the summer, they wear swimwear and not a winter coat and scarf. This is not unusual, but simply a natural part of daily life.

In winter, people do not wear swimwear in the snow, just as one enters a sauna unclothed (unless it is a designated swimwear day). This is the norm, not a cult.

The same principle applies to other situations:

At a wedding, people wear formal attire. No one would show up in a tracksuit.

In a gym, people wear sportswear, not a bathrobe.

During a sweat lodge ceremony, participants do not wear sports shoes and winter jackets, but rather appropriate, respectful attire suited to the sacred gathering.

Yet, some people normalize their own daily clothing choices while judging spiritual traditions that follow certain dress codes. What we do within Mara Palumbra is no different from what people already practice in their everyday lives.

Those who feel resistance to this simple reality are invited to step out of judgment and turn inward. Instead of constantly looking outward to criticize others, it is time to focus on inner growth.

Mara Palumbra and Personal Evolution

Mara Palumbra is centered on the individual who chooses spiritual evolution and empowerment. This is of crucial importance in the era we are now living in. We have entered the Age of Aquarius—the Golden Age, a time where consciousness, spirituality, and technology are being elevated to new heights.

In this era, there is no longer room for judgment or condemnation. Instead, we are being challenged to turn inward, heal our inner traumas, and understand how these limitations shape our perception.

Humanity is not waiting for an external savior—we are the change we seek. We are the solution and the redemption. If we truly wish to create a better world, we must begin with ourselves. This means:

Removing the masks that limit us.

Connecting more with the heart, rather than remaining stuck in the mind, which only creates stories based on fear, trauma, and insecurities.

Respect for Traditions Worldwide

Over the past 35 years, I have studied and experienced countless traditions and spiritual systems, including:

  • Indonesia (Necromantic Ancestral Work & Khodam)
  • Africa (Necromantic Ancestral Work)
  • Cuba (Santería)
  • Brazil (Candomblé & Quimbanda)
  • India (Aghori Mysticism)
  • Peru (Q’ero Shamanism)
  • Mexico (Toltec Tradition)
  • Greece (Olympian Gods)
  • Egypt and many more.

In all these traditions, dress codes are honored with respect. Within Mara Palumbra, we uphold this same level of respect—not out of blind worship, but as a tribute to our ancestors and spiritual guides.

We worship no one and give away our power to nothing, but we do acknowledge that a legacy of wisdom and tradition has been left behind by those who came before us. They paved the way for us, and it is our responsibility to honor these traditions with respect.

Lumina Vitae

“Lumina Vitae shines as an eternal light, where respect for global traditions and reverence for those who came before us form the foundations of true wisdom. In their footsteps, we walk with gratitude, connected by the timeless power of spiritual heritage.”
